To me, other than being a mom, marriage is the best “job” in the world. Marriage is a commitment made to the love of your life, your best friend and soulmate! It’s a commitment to love and respect one another for the rest of your life. At times, marriage can take a lot of hard work and patience, but anything incredible in life, takes work. Marriage is no different.
This may sound like a Hallmark card, but I’m such a better person WITH my husband, than I am without. It’s incredible what we accomplish together! When I stumble, he picks me up. This is what it’s all about. Covering one another’s weaknesses and bringing out each other’s strengths. I’d say we are pretty good at that.
Oh, and did I mention, he is the absolute BEST business partner ever to raise a family with?! Happy Mom + Happy Dad = Happy family and Happy Kids!
Marriage isn’t magically created when you each say, “I do”. It isn’t dividing everything in half.
It’s built on a lifetime of continually saying, “WE DO”!
We DO cherish one another.
We DO choose one another.
We DO make a lifetime commitment to one another.
It’s all about “WE”. Not about “I”.
Make an everyday choice to say, “WE” do!
And sometimes……no matter how hard you try to prove you are “right”….., to keep a marriage strong, you just might have to admit that you are “wrong.” Yep, I said it. Wrong.
