Stop Being Afraid To Fail!

When I first looked at this picture, it immediately reminded me of my daughter. She’s a freshman Cross Country runner, and at one particular meet she didn’t pace herself well. She ran a 5 minute mile on her first mile out, led the whole way, then honestly just ran out of gas. When she crossed the finish line, she was devastated to say the least. She knew exactly what had happened. I told her, “It’s ok! You made a mistake, but you know now what happened, and you’re going to come back!”

She then ran the same exact course at the district meet and WON! Yes, WON! She then went on to win Regionals and now she’s headed to STATE….as a FRESHMAN! She’s young, she’s made mistakes, she’s been clueless! She mentioned to me after the regional meet, “Mom it’s crazy that at my first meet I placed 17th and ran a 14 something!” Yep baby girl….don’t ever forget where you’ve come from!

This is a great lesson for all of us. Learn from those mistakes! Being afraid to fail is paralyzing friends. However. When you make the decision to just go and give it your all, you can move forward with confidence in knowing that even if you fail, you will learn….you will move on, and you will create something amazing for you and your family! STOP BEING AFRAID TO FAIL!
